Someone from a recruitment agency reached out because I had matching skills, so I looked into the organisation and thought it sounded like a good opportunity. I had been debating a career move for a while so I took a chance and applied and then heard back with the positive news not long after my interview.

My role previously was at Reed In Partnership, I was Central Processing Team leader so had a fair few things to look after in terms of finance. The cost of living crisis is out of control- If I could change one thing it would be to make sure that people felt secure in their day to day lives and weren’t so burdened by these rising costs.

Having worked as a mortgage advisor for a bank, I decided to go self employed as a mortgage broker. Having realised working for yourself required a lot more than a home office, I came across The Women’s Organisation on Instagram and attended a few online forums about Women in Leadership. I worked for a bank for 5 years initially starting in customer services before deciding on a career in mortgages becoming a fully qualified mortgage advisor.  I have also worked in a coffee shop which is probably were my love (addiction) of coffee first started but I have also taken to the time to complete courses in social media management and digital marketing which I use to help friends and family with their businesses.
