Have you got a hobby you are considering turning into a business?
Are you not in paid employment at the moment and wondering if you could create your own job through self-employment?
START IT UP – is self-employment for you gives you the opportunity to explore whether setting up a small business is for you. Our expert business advisors will work with you across two online Zoom sessions, where you can gather insight on the process of getting started and get the help and support you need.
Session One: Tuesday 13th July 1pm – 3pm
Entrepreneurial Thinking: Exploring whether you are ready for business ownership, exploring ideas
Session Two: Wednesday 14th July 1pm – 3pm
Knowing where to start: Establishing how your values and beliefs connect to your business aims and objectives, what it means to set up a business in 2021.
Those who meet the eligibility criteria below, complete the course and go on to pursue their business idea will have opportunity to access £100 grant to support your next steps and will be offered further support to plan your business.
Eligibility
The course is open to WOMEN & MEN living in the LIVERPOOL CITY REGION (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton) who are not in paid employment or economically inactive (perhaps a homemaker, taking a career break or retired).
*Help is available to individuals who do not have the right equipment or know-how to access Zoom.*
