This Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of getting started as well as connecting you with entrepreneurs who have been there, done it and even re-adapted in the face of Covid 19.
Led by The Women’s Organisation in partnership with BIPC Liverpool this event is part of our Enterprise Hub programme, part funded by European Regional Development Fund and offering FREE advice and guidance to those living in the Liverpool City Region thinking of starting a business.

Enterprise Hub support is available to individuals looking to start a business within the Liverpool City Region, or businesses under 42 months looking to grow in the Liverpool City Region.

Rachel Gilbertson – Founder of Roxiie’s Treasures
Rachel Gilbertson is the owner of Roxiie’s Treasures, which she started at the age of 19 back in 2013 with the help of The Women’s Organisation.
She’s gone through having rented spaces to a shop of her own, and selling at craft fairs and events and in other businesses selling handmade Crosby Beach and Liverpool themed cushions and gifts. She is also involved with Small Business Saturday UK.
Christina McDermott – Founder of Cattington
Christina has over a decade’s experience of working in social media with some of the world’s best known brands. She established Cattington in 2017.
Her work has seen her create social media strategy, community management campaigns and branded content for Unilever’s portfolio of global food brands; including Knorr, Stork margarine, Flora, Wall’s ice cream and Magnum. She has also worked on branded content and content strategy for Marks and Spencer, RADA and Jaguar USA among others and provided community management and influencer outreach services to Pottermore, General Mills, Reckitt Benckiser and Danone.
