As women, we know that our health can often be disregarded, overlooked, and under researched. That’s why it’s important we use our voice to take part in the Women’s Reproductive Health Survey!
The UK government has launched a new survey to gather women’s experiences of reproductive health. The survey is open to all women and those assigned female at birth living in England, aged 16-55 years.
It will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Periods
- Contraception
- Fertility
- Pregnancy
- Menopause
The survey also asks questions about women’s experiences of accessing healthcare and support for reproductive health issues.
The data collected from the survey will be used to better understand our experiences and take active steps to make a positive difference for future generations.
Why is the Women’s Reproductive Health Survey important?
Our reproductive health is an important part of our overall health and well-being. However, many women experience challenges and barriers to accessing reproductive health care and support.
In 2022, the government appointed Professor Dame Lesley Regan as Women’s Health Ambassador for England. Since then, a Women’s Health Strategy has been announced to close the gender health gap over the next 10 years.
This survey is a chance for women to share their experiences and to help the government to improve reproductive health services for all.
How to take part in the survey
The survey is online and takes around 15 minutes to complete. You can access the survey here.
Your responses to the survey are anonymous and confidential.
Encourage others to take part
You can help to raise awareness of the survey by encouraging other women to take part. You can do this by sharing information about the survey on social media, persuading your friends and family to use their voice, and contacting your local women’s health organizations to ask them to promote the survey.
Women’s Workplace Wellness
A lack of understanding for women’s health can affect every part our lives, especially our wellbeing in the workplace. It’s important that businesses and organisations in the UK know how to take care of their female workforce by putting policies into place to support women in their times of need.
Our new programme, Women’s Workplace Wellness, is dedicated to helping SMEs in England to implement meaningful changes to support women in work. Knowing how to effectively support your staff will increase productivity, health and wellbeing, staff retention and development.
We are running an online webinar to better your understanding of women’s health in the workplace and learn how to support your female employees. You can grab your fully-funded place here.
